We just returned from another successful 70000 Tons of Metal! This year we had double the wardrobe create as we added a Pool Boys ambassador team in addition to the Pool Girls! We created custom swimwear for both the boys and girls, as well as deckwear outfits for them to rock as they made sure the cruisers on the pool deck did not get sunburned! I was very proud of how the looks turned out, and the professionalism of our teams this year! We were present for the photoshoot on Playa Mia Beach in beautiful Cozumel, Mexico too- which was a great respite from the gray January cold back home!
To add to the excitement, this year I was asked to sing for the band Cruachan from Ireland, for all 3 sets they played on board! For the occasion, I designed and made a Celtic Fantasy dress for stage! We received a great crowd response at the Royal Theater, Ice Rink, and the special Irish Drinking Songs set we did in the Ale and Anchor pub aboard! I hope to join them again for some festival gigs this summer in Europe!
Lots of bands have been touring in their Kylla Custom Rock Wear wardrobes, including Machine Head, who has a full Kylla stage wardrobe for their Burn My Eyes 25th anniversary tour. They just finished the European leg, and are now rolling through North America! I will catch the gig next week! We also did some on-site alterations and changes for the band wardrobe we made King Diamond on their US run this fall, and that was great to see live!
