2020 Year in Review
2020 was one of the most difficult years for the business, as we had to figure out a way to survive without there being live shows or concerts! We started off the year working 2 of the only festivals to happen in 2020- 70000 Tons of Metal, and Hell and Heaven in Mexico with the 70K promotional team just as the pandemic hit! I feel lucky to have done any gigs this past year!
Because of the mask shortage, we immediately put our sewing machines to use making masks for the general public and for healthcare workers. This initiative took several months of our time, but was a huge success as we were able to provide more than a thousand masks for people in need!
Pro Wrestling gear making has supported us mainly this year, as their shows have still been running on TV, just without an audience. We made lots of exciting gear for WWE, AEW, and ROH pay-per-view events, as well as a fun Halloween costume for Chris Jericho himself! We dressed superstars such as Braun Strowman, "The Fiend" Bray Wyatt, Ruby Riott, Mandy Rose, and Sonya Deville!
Working remotely for my own safety as a person with health conditions actually offered some interesting opportunities this year. My partner is Swedish and because of the US/EU travel bans making frequent travel difficult, I went to Sweden for several months (we had to travel through Serbia for 2 weeks each time). This was advantageous because I was able to establish a sewing base of operations in Stockholm, Sweden! We have tons of clients in Sweden and Scandinavia in general, as it is the metal band capitol of the world, so it is very convenient to have a sewing studio right in the heart of it! The vintage Husqvarna Viking sewing machines are some of my favorite workhorses to use as well!
Looking forward to 2021, and with the vaccine, hopefully some shows and concerts will be happening again that we can dress! In the mean time, we're still here to make you feel like a rockstar on your Zoom calls!
